Benefits & Uses of Chandraprabha Vatika
Chandraprabha Vatika (also known as Chandraprabha Gulika) is used in the Ayurvedic treatment of diabetes, dermatitis, bloating, low back pain, colds and coughs, difficulty urinating, respiratory, liver, spleen and urinary tract diseases, constipation, bronchitis, asthma, rhinitis, eczema and eye infections. It is truly a medicine-of-all-diseases! It is used for piles, anaemia, fistula and indigestion. It also acts as an aphrodisiac, antimicrobial and antiaging remedy.

This Ayurvedic remedy balances all three of the Doshas. The word chandra refers to the moon because this herb is calming and cooling. Chandraprabha Vatika is often called Sarvaroga Pranashini, which translates into “useful in all disorders”.

Dosage & Side Effects

A common dosage recommendation is 1 - 2 tablets once or twice a day before or after food. An overdosage may cause a mild burning sensation in the abdomen. Keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place.

These herbal tablets can be used for a period of 2 - 3 months. There are no known side effects associated with this medicine, though people with high blood pressure should take this medicine only under the care of a certified physician since it contains salt.

Product Combinations
1 – 2 Chandraprabha Gulika Tablets + 2 – 4 tsp. of Ashwagandha Arishtam to help heal sexual disorders in men.
1 – 2 Chandraprabha Gulika Tablets + 1 – 2 tsp. of Chyawanprash for an antiaging treatment.
1- 2 Chandraprabha Gulika Tablets + 1 – 2 Acidact Tablets for gastritis and digestive tract disorders.

Ahh, Kapha. A Dosha that we all have, made up of earth and water. It gives us many of our best human qualities, such as our grounding, stability and warm emotions. When in excess however, it can have negative consequences on our overall health.

To reduce or pacify kapha, Ayurveda has given us dietary, lifestyle and herbal treatment strategies. To reduce Kapha, emphasize stimulation, exercise, lightening, warming and drying in your diet and lifestyle.

January Ayurvedic Recipe: Lentil Soup with Vegetables

A delicious soup like this is good for anytime of the year. It's high in fiber and vegan (unless you use ghee in place of the coconut oil!) which is also a great switch. Enjoy this warm, balancing dish with friends and family! It's the perfect one to share, so we made this recipe to serve 6 in time for the holidays.
